Pastor and First Lady Jacobs

Rev. Kennedy E. Jacobs, Sr. is the 9th of eleven children, and the youngest of a set of twin boys, born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Ennis and Vetta Jacobs. He was born in the state of Florida and reared in the city of Daytona Beach. He graduated from Mainland High School in 1981, and from there went on to join the United States Army ending his tour of duty in 1986 and returning to the Daytona Beach area to await further instructions for his life from God. In 1989 Rev. Jacobs founded and began directing the National Recording Artist group TS Chorale.

While Pastor Jacobs had served under 2 local ministries and pastors, the Lord directed his steps into the Pastorate in August of 1996. After matriculating through Bethune Cookman College of Daytona Beach Florida and graduating in June 1996 with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Religion and Philosophy, he stepped out on faith and began Gods work.

Along with his wife, Evangelist LuCinda Evans Jacobs, and their children, The Living Truth Evangelistic Christian Center had its first service on the second Sunday in August 1996. With about 10 persons present including children they had begun the work that the Lord had called them out to do.

The first years of service were held in the auditorium of Campbell Middle School, but the Lord had given Rev. Jacobs the mind to build His temple; A place were he could continue to reach out to the community, young and old, and of all races to tell them of the Good News of Jesus Christ.  Since that time the Lord has blessed and on June 29th 2003 The Living Truth Christian Center opened its doors.

The facility not only houses the Sanctuary but also a Life Center, which is a site for many planned community outreach programs such as support groups for people facing AIDS, addiction, other societal ills.

Pastor Jacobs, and Evangelist LuCinda Jacobs have been married for over 20 years and are the proud parents of four children: Kennedy Jr., Kevin, Kendra, and Kenli.

In the latter months of 2003 God gave Rev. Jacobs a vision to create a musical organization to network and revolutionize the music ministry in the kingdom of God throughout the state of Florida.  Through prayer and God’s guidance, the Florida Music Network, Inc. and the Central Florida Mass Choir were established in June 2004.  The Florida Music Network produced its first project, “Breakthrough,” on October 7th with a live audio and video gospel concert.

In February of 2005 Rev. Jacobs journeyed to South Africa for a missionary trip, ordained by God, and touched the lives of hundreds of South Africans.  In February of 2008 Rev. Jacobs was honored as “Black History in the Making ”* by a local news station.  His most recent endeavor includes the "What if?" campaign. An urban redevelopment project* to revive a blighted community centered around Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd in Daytona Beach, FL. Truly, Rev. Jacobs is a great man of faith who is constantly petitioning God for progression to higher levels of ministry to serve God’s people.
